Fed: ABC boss defends police inquiry into leaked document

CANBERRA, Feb 22 AAP - ABC managing director Jonathan Shier today denied the national
broadcaster had called in police to investigate a leaked internal document.

Mr Shier said the Australian Federal Police (AFP) had made their own call and had so
far interviewed up to 11 ABC staff over the alleged leak of the document to newspapers
in January.

The ABC board has been told by police the inquiry will wind up this week.
